Fixed Asset Staff Accountant

Location: Chandler, AZ

In-office position

Reporting to the Director of Finance the Fixed Asset Staff Accountant is responsible and accountable for maintaining accurate property and capital project records.

Duties

• Manages the fixed asset records of the company including asset additions and renovation projects.
• Responsible for capitalization and depreciation
• Responsible for fixed asset balance sheet account analysis and reconciliations.
• Maintain accurate financial data, including month-end financials.
• Maintain the accurate accounting of capital reserve funds.
• Maintain fixed asset schedule, as applicable.
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts.
• Prepare sales tax returns, as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business Administration highly preferred
• 2+ years of fixed asset accounting experience
• Intermediate level Excel skills
• Understanding of GAAP guidelines
• Must be able to consistently achieve high work standards, attention to detail, accuracy, and timeliness.
• Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where continuous improvement is expected.
