Payroll Administrator,
Hybrid position in Central Phoenix
The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented individual who has 2+ years of Payroll Supervisory experience, UltiPro/UKG, and great tenure. You will be responsible for overseeing payroll systems and supervising one employee.
Duties:
- Leads processing, organizing, and management of biweekly payroll for 1,000 employees
- Supervises & trains payroll coordinator Â
- Prepares, or oversees the process for preparing, biweekly/monthly payroll journal entries, payroll accruals, and payroll adjustments for the monthly financial statements within a strict and demanding time period.
- Maintains payroll-related areas of UKG/WFR including but not limited to setting up/troubleshooting: earnings and deductions codes, project codes, site locations/work-in sites, tax jurisdictions, GL Rules, GL Segment Sequences, General Ledger issues, Suspense items, and the like.
- Responsible for analyzing and monitoring all payroll liability general ledger accounts on a quarterly basis. Produces general ledger journals when appropriate.
- Responsible for all reporting to management including but not limited to: biweekly payroll summaries, scorecard, wages report and OT report.
- Ensures all monthly, quarterly, and annual payroll reports are complete and reconciled with any necessary adjustments made within the quarter (941, Balancing payroll reports, tax reports, etc.)
- Manages legal documents processing pertaining to: Federal and State Levies, Child Support payments, and Writ of Garnishment.
- Oversees insurance and mileage reimbursement process.
- Completes state registrations for new jurisdictions and completes UKG’s process for setup as needed.
- Maintains employee payroll files.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of payroll & general accounting/bookkeeping experience
- Two years of Payroll supervisory experience
- Two years of UKG/UltiPro experience highly preferred
