Popular real estate firm near west Los Angeles is looking for an Accounting Manager. While overseeing a small team of Accountants, the Accounting Manager will be responsible for the day to day accounting functions as it pertains to the organization's real estate assets / portfolio. The Accounting Manager will prepare consolidated financial statements, conduct month / quarter / year-end closes, manage cash flow statements, and review CAM reconciliations. The Accounting Manager will also handle financial and P&L analysis, analyze sub-general ledger statements, reconcile balance sheets, review fixed asset processes and depreciation schedules as well as enhance accounting policies and procedures. Additional responsibilities for the Accounting Manager include conducting real estate accounting technical research, analysis of the fiscal budget, interpreting commercial leases, collaborating with Property Managers, and playing a key role in system upgrades (Yardi) and financial reporting projects.
Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration or related discipline is required.
At least four years of commercial real estate accounting experience, or public accounting experience with commercial real estate clients, is needed.
At least two years of management experience is required.
CPA is a plus.
Yardi is extremely preferred.
Must have excellent communication and analytical skills.
Advanced Excel is required.
