Internationally recognized, publicly traded consumer products company located in south Los Angeles is looking to hire a Senior Financial Analyst with a strong accounting background.  In this position, the Senior Financial Analyst will be responsible for performing analytics, managing process improvement initiatives, analyzing accounting processes (i.e., deferred compensation, accruals, pre-paids, payroll, compensation, month-end processes, financial statement preparation, etc.), developing performance metrics, and helping drive operating efficiencies.  The Senior Financial Analyst will also conduct data mining and modeling, participate in various special projects (such as managing corporate databases, system upgrades, etc.), partake in SOX compliance, create and develop performance reports, and assess workflow functionality.
 

  • Qualified candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
  • At least three years of corporate accounting experience with a large, international publicly traded corporation is required.
  • Finance experience is extremely preferred.
  • Lean Six Sigma certification is required.
  • SOX (Sarbanes Oxley) knowledge is key.
  • CPA and/or MBA is a big plus.
  • ERP systems background and advanced Excel skills needed.
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills are also required.
