Job Description

A nonprofit in downtown Washington, DC is looking for a temporary Staff Accountant to assist in daily accounting tasks and regulatory compliance. The Staff Accountant will be responsible for:
- Accounts Payable Processing.
- Assist with data collection for donors/contributors and donor database updates, as assigned.
- Mantaining cash flow and payment projections.
- Assist with monthly reconcilations of cash transactions.
- Prepare journal entries and supporting documentation, mantain fixed asset tracking.
- Manage outsourced state compliance vendor(s) and coordinate information request.
- Other accounting details as needed.

The ideal candidate will:
- Posess a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Have 1-3 years of administrative and accounting field.
- Previous non-profit accounting experience is a plus.
- Familiarity with Blackbaud Financial Edge and Microsoft Excel.
