Ledgent is seeking a Collections Specialist in the Midtown Atlanta area who is open to a contract or temp to perm position. Responsibilities include contacting clients and collecting outstanding payments. You will strike a balance between maintaining trustful relationships and ensuring timely payments. The ideal candidate should exhibit professionalism and trustworthiness. You should have excellent communication and negotiation skills, as well as an ability to work independently with great examples of how you've managed past portfolios in a business-to-business B2B, mid-sized company environment.
2+ years of professional Collection Specialist or similar role is must
Knowledge of billing procedures and collection techniques (e.g. skip tracing)
Familiarity with laws related to debt collection (e.g. FDCPA)
Working knowledge of MS Office and databases
Advanced Excel Skills a must (PivotTables, Vlookups, etc)
Experience with large ERP or accounting software packages is a plus
Comfortable working with people and ability to manage stressful conversations
Excellent communication skills (written and oral)
Skilled in negotiation
Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance/Business Administration is a plus
Min Associates Degree required?
