Job Description

Responsibilities: 

  • Process invoices for Investment Properties which includes:  checking invoice amount to contract and budget, coding, obtaining appropriate approvals and entering in accounting system for weekly check run
  • Process recurring payments for monthly contracts
  • Matching  POs to invoices when processing for payment ensuring coding and payment amounts are accurate
  • Weekly submission of invoices
  • Matching checks with invoices for weekly mailing and filing all backup as appropriate
  • Assist vendors with questions regarding unpaid invoices, etc.
  • Monthly review of vendor statements
  • Assist in processing utility invoices for all projects
  • Ensure that all certificates of liability are current prior to mailing of checks
  • Create and maintain various AP reports in excel as needed
  • Prepare and enter journal entries as needed
  • Attend regular accounting department meetings
  • Sort and distribute mail on a rotational basis with other staff members
  • File, maintain, and distribute accounting documents, records and reports
  • Perform other duties as required to support Accounting Department

Job Requirements

Advanced Excel skills
High volume AP experience is a must
Experience transitioning to paperless software system preferred
Yardi software experience preferred
Degree preferred but not required
Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize work effectively
Self starter, willing to take on new initiatives; proactive
Great communication, both written and verbal
Able to work well in a team or independently
