Job Description

A national supply company seeking a hands on Accounting Manager to lead accounting team in a very HIGH VOLUME TRANSACTION environment. Reports to the VP of Finance. Responsible for establishing, monitoring, and evaluating all day-to-day accounting activities including developing and implementing systems for collecting, analyzing, verifying and reporting financial information. ON SITE POSITION.

Responsibilities

  • Oversight of day to day accounting
  • Manages all month end closing activities
  • Financial statement preparation and analysis
  • Cash flow analysis and reporting
  • Manage sales and excise tax returns
  • Lead internal and external audits
  • Provide KPI's to VP of Finance
  • Identify and propose internal or external ideas and initiatives to help promote general awareness of company brand

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or economics - from a brick and mortar college/required.
  • CPA - preferred
  • Minimum of 3+ years of experience directly supervising a team
  • Proficiency in ERP system such as Sage, MS Dynamics or similar
  • Excellent Excel skills including CREATING pivot tables, vlookups, etc.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Analytical thinker with proactive problem solving skills
