Job Description

Ledgent Finance and Accounting has a prominent financial services organization located in the Saint Paul area need to add to their accounting team!

  • Pay: $75,000-$90,000/yr

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end close activities.

  • Maintain and analyze the general ledger to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data.

  • Prepare financial statements in accordance with GAAP and internal policies.

  • Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial analyses to support business decisions.

  • Coordinate and support internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations.

  • Ensure compliance with tax reporting and regulatory requirements.

  • Identify process improvements and assist with implementation of new accounting systems or tools.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure financial data integrity and transparency.

  • Mentor and support junior accounting staff as needed.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA or CPA candidate preferred.

  • Minimum of 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a corporate or public accounting environment.

  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and accounting principles.

  • Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, or similar) and advanced Excel skills.
