Ledgent Finance and Accounting has a prominent financial services organization located in the Saint Paul area need to add to their accounting team!
Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end close activities.
Maintain and analyze the general ledger to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data.
Prepare financial statements in accordance with GAAP and internal policies.
Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial analyses to support business decisions.
Coordinate and support internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations.
Ensure compliance with tax reporting and regulatory requirements.
Identify process improvements and assist with implementation of new accounting systems or tools.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure financial data integrity and transparency.
Mentor and support junior accounting staff as needed.
Education & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA or CPA candidate preferred.
Minimum of 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a corporate or public accounting environment.
Strong knowledge of GAAP and accounting principles.
Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, or similar) and advanced Excel skills.
