About the Company:
Our client is a well-established organization in the construction sector, known for its collaborative culture and commitment to operational excellence. They are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable / Accounts Receivable Specialist to join their accounting team and support day-to-day financial operations.
Responsibilities:
Process and code vendor invoices, ensuring accuracy and proper approvals
Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies promptly
Prepare and process weekly check runs and ACH payments
Generate and distribute customer invoices in a timely manner
Apply payments, manage aging reports, and follow up on outstanding balances
Assist with month-end closing, journal entries, and account reconciliations
Maintain organized and up-to-date accounting files and documentation
Communicate with vendors and customers regarding billing or payment inquiries
Support the accounting team with ad hoc projects as needed
Qualifications:
2+ years of experience in both Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
Strong understanding of basic accounting principles
Proficiency in Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP, or similar)
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
