Position Overview

Ledgent Finance & Accounting's client is currently seeking an experienced AP Accountant to join their client on a temp-to-hire basis. This position is 100% onsite in Santa Clara and offers the opportunity to work within a medium-sized company environment. The role requires a detail-oriented professional with a strong analytical background to manage various accounting tasks and ensure accurate financial records.

Responsibilities

• Manage full-cycle accounts payable processes, including reconciliation and vendor inquiries.
• Handle expense reports and ACH bank transactions.
• Conduct bank reconciliations to ensure accurate financial records.
• Analyze vendor data to identify trends and resolve discrepancies.
• Utilize QuickBooks desktop for accounting tasks and ensure accurate data entry.
• Collaborate with team members to maintain a smooth workflow and support financial operations.
• Prepare and review financial reports to assist in decision-making processes.

Qualifications

• 3-7 years of experience in an accounts payable role, preferably in a medium-sized company.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks desktop and intermediate skills in Microsoft Excel, including Pivot Tables and V Look Ups.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to dig into vendor data and identify patterns.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Required Work Hours

Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM or 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM

Additional Details

This position is open due to a career change by the previous employee, and the company is looking for a committed individual to fill the role. The volume of work is low, with up to five transactions a day, but requires someone who is detail-oriented and capable of handling a lot of data and reconciliation tasks.
