Job Title: Accounts Payable Specialist

Location: Greater Tampa area, FL
Employment Type: Full-Time

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist with a strong background in manufacturing to join a growing team. This role is critical in ensuring accurate and timely processing of vendor invoices, expense reports, and payments while maintaining compliance with company policies and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Process high-volume vendor invoices and match with purchase orders and receipts.
• Verify accuracy of invoices, resolve discrepancies, and ensure proper coding to GL accounts.
• Manage payment runs, including ACH, wire transfers, and checks.
• Reconcile vendor statements and maintain positive vendor relationships.
• Assist with month-end closing activities and AP reporting.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and company policies.
• Collaborate with procurement and operations teams to resolve invoice and payment issues.

Qualifications

• Education: Associate degree in Accounting or Finance (Bachelor's preferred).
• Experience:
• 3+ years of Accounts Payable experience.
• Prior experience in a manufacturing environment is required.
• Skills:
• Strong knowledge of ERP systems
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.

Preferred Attributes

• Familiarity with inventory and cost accounting principles.
• Experience with three-way matching and high-volume invoice processing.
