Job Description

JPOSITION OVERVIEW:
The Business Analyst will play a critical role in supporting strategic financial decision-making by conducting in-depth analysis, forecasting, budgeting, and performance reporting. This role will collaborate with senior management and cross-functional teams to ensure financial health, operational efficiency, and the successful execution of key business initiatives. The position will be responsible for overseeing the annual budgeting process, financial modeling, and reporting, while also identifying opportunities for process improvement, automation and risk mitigation.


ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/MAJOR JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Financial Analysis & Forecasting
? Conduct in-depth financial analysis, including forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis to support strategic decision-making
? Develop financial models and forecasts to predict future financial performance and support business decisions
? Create 3-statement modeling for financial forecasting and analysis
? Review accruals to monitor if in line with business trends and expectations
? Compile and analyze the monthly leadership report
? Conduct monthly overhead review and analysis of accounts, sharing results with Leadership
Budgeting & Financial Planning
? Spearhead the annual budget preparation (bottoms-up exercise) and regularly monitor budget adherence
? Assist with HR staffing valuation, budget, impacts, bonus accrual, bonus true-up, and monitor employment agreement timing
? Assist in mergers and acquisitions review and post-merger integration
? Prepare and present clear and concise financial reporting to simplify decision-making for business partners and senior management
? Create PowerPoint presentations for planning, forecasting, and special projects
Performance Metrics & Strategic Planning
? Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the company's financial health and performance
? Analyze market trends, industry benchmarks, and the competitive landscape to provide recommendations for strategic financial planning
? Identify financial risks and recommend strategies for risk mitigation to safeguard the company's financial stability
? Drive continuous improvement initiatives by identifying areas for enhancement in financial processes and systems
