We are looking for an experienced Accounting Supervisor to oversee daily accounting operations and support project financials. Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and mentor accounting staff across AP, AR, payroll, and job cost functions.
Manage month-end close and prepare accurate financial statements.
Oversee job cost accounting, progress billing, lien releases, and retention tracking.
Ensure compliance with construction industry requirements (DIR, prevailing wage, certified payroll, etc.).
Review budgets, forecasts, and variance reports with project managers.
Monitor cash flow and assist leadership with financial planning.
Identify and implement process improvements.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA a plus).
5+ years of accounting experience, including at least 2 years in construction.
Previous supervisory or team lead experience required.
Strong knowledge of job cost accounting, WIP reporting, and construction billing.
Experience with construction accounting software (Sage 300, Viewpoint, or similar).
Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
