Ledgent Finance & Accounting has been engaged by a well-established, privately held company in the Portland metro area seeking a hands-on Accounts Payable Manager to lead a strong AP team within their 45-person accounting department. The Accounts Payable Manager will oversee a team of 7 AP professionals, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and timeliness in all AP functions. This is a high-volume environment (1,000+ invoices weekly) with a mix of manual and automated processes. The company is currently undergoing a major ERP implementation - candidates with system transition experience will be highly valued.

Lead and mentor a team of Accounts Payable Specialists.
Manage full-cycle AP, including invoice processing, vendor management, and payment runs.
Oversee weekly invoice volume (1,000+) and ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies.
Partner with leadership on ERP system implementation and process improvements.
Collaborate cross-functionally with other finance leaders in AR, GL, and Accounting Ops.
Ensure adherence to US GAAP standards and internal controls.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
5+ years of AP leadership experience.
Proven success managing high-volume AP teams (1,000+ invoices weekly).
Strong understanding of US GAAP.
Advanced Excel skills; ERP implementation experience highly desirable.
