The Accountant is responsible for managing financial records and ensuring accurate accounting practices in accordance with company policies and relevant regulations. This role involves preparing financial statements, maintaining ledger functions, and overseeing budgeting, forecasting, and internal audits to support the organization's financial health and compliance.
Maintain and reconcile ledger accounts
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
Manage accounts payable and receivable functions
Monitor and ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards (e.g., GAAP/IFRS)
Assist with budget preparation and financial planning
Analyze financial data to support business decisions
Coordinate internal and external audits
Process payroll and employee reimbursements (if applicable)
Supervise junior accounting staff (if any)
Recommend and implement financial controls and process improvements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent preferred
3-5 years of experience in a similar role
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle)
Advanced MS Excel skills
