Construction Bookkeeper (Temp-to-Hire)

About the Role:
Our client, a well-established construction company, is seeking a Construction Bookkeeper to join their team on a temp-to-hire basis. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in construction accounting, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Key Responsibilities:
Full-cycle accounts payable and accounts receivable
Job costing and project expense tracking
Bank and account reconciliations
Assist with payroll processing and certified payroll reporting
General ledger maintenance and month-end close support
Prepare and maintain financial reports for management
Collaborate with project managers to ensure accurate cost allocations
Qualifications:
3+ years of bookkeeping/accounting experience (construction industry preferred)
Proficiency with QuickBooks, Sage 300 (Timberline), or similar ERP/accounting software
Strong Excel skills (PivotTables, VLOOKUPs)
Detail-oriented with strong organizational and communication skills
Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
