Position Overview

Ledgent Finance & Accounting's client is currently seeking a dedicated Payroll Specialist to join their team in Benicia, California. This is a temporary position with an uncertain duration, offering medical coverage. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in payroll processing and be comfortable working onsite. This position offers an hourly pay rate ranging from $27 to $30.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and process payroll for employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and legal regulations.
  • Utilize JD Edwards software for payroll processing and reporting.
  • Handle employee inquiries related to payroll and resolve any discrepancies.
  • Maintain and update payroll records and reports.
  • Coordinate with the HR department to ensure all employee data is current and accurate.
  • Support the finance team with payroll-related tasks and projects as needed.
  • Ensure timely submission of payroll taxes and other regulatory requirements.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of recent payroll experience.
  • Commitment to the duration of the assignment.
  • Experience with JD Edwards is a must.
  • Preferably strong experience in the construction industry.
  • Ability to work within Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Work Hours

The position requires working from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday.

The pay range for this position is between $27.00 and $30.00 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
