Accounts Receivables Manager

About the role:

Ledgent Finance & Accounting's client is currently seeking an experienced Accounts Receivables Manager to join their team in California. This supervisory position involves overseeing the accounts receivable department and ensuring the efficient management of incoming payments and outstanding invoices. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented and have a strong background in financial management and leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and supervise the accounts receivable team, ensuring high performance and adherence to company policies.
  • Oversee the timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments.
  • Monitor customer accounts to identify outstanding debts and follow up on overdue payments.
  • Prepare regular reports on accounts receivable status and present findings to senior management.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve the accounts receivable process and reduce days sales outstanding (DSO).
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards.
  • Collaborate with other departments to resolve billing disputes and discrepancies.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to accounts receivable activities.
  • Train and mentor team members, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment.
  • Analyze financial data to identify trends and areas for improvement.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in accounts receivable management or a similar financial role.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Familiarity with financial regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field preferred.

Required Work Hours

The position requires full-time availability, with standard working hours from Monday to Friday.
