Position Overview

Ledgent Finance & Accounting's client is currently seeking a detail-oriented and dedicated AP Analyst to join their team in Georgia. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in accounts payable processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance in financial transactions. This role is integral to maintaining smooth financial operations and will offer the opportunity to work closely with various departments.

Responsibilities

• Process invoices from receipt to payment, ensuring accuracy, approvals, and correct coding.
• Manage check payments, ACH transfers, and tax withholding entries.
• Maintain the AP inbox, handling invoices and inquiries within deadlines.
• Process corporate card transactions and employee reimbursements with proper expense classification.
• Reconcile vendor statements, resolving outstanding balances and discrepancies.
• Review recurring vendor expenses and collaborate with departments on vendor evaluations.
• Ensure all AP transactions have proper documentation and approvals before processing.
• Assist with 1099 reporting and other tax-related filings.
• Maintain financial records in compliance with document retention policies.
• Support internal and external audits by compiling necessary documentation.
• Work with the Accounting Manager to streamline AP workflows and improve processes.
• Serve as a resource for employees regarding AP-related inquiries.

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred (equivalent experience will be considered in place of a degree).
• 3+ years of accounts payable experience.
• Strong Excel skills required, including pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and data analysis.
