Position Overview

Ledgent Finance & Accounting is currently seeking an Accounting Assistant to join a dynamic team in Pleasanton/Livermore on a temporary basis. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, with a positive attitude and a willingness to learn. Responsibilities

• Support accounting operations by performing tasks related to accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
• Utilize knowledge of AP processes to assist with financial record-keeping and reconciliation.
• Engage in daily financial transactions to ensure accuracy and compliance with company standards.
• Collaborate with the accounting team to prepare financial reports and documents as needed.
• Maintain and update accounting records, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality.
• Provide assistance with administrative tasks related to accounting and finance as directed.
• Handle queries and resolve discrepancies in a timely and professional manner.
• Ensure all accounting practices align with company policies and industry standards.

Qualifications

• 0-3 years of experience in accounting roles; experience with AP, AR, and payroll is preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting is preferred but not required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with MS Dynamics is a plus.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to pass a background and drug test.
• Positive personality with a quick learning ability and adaptability to changing environments.

Required Work Hours

Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM

This is a temporary position with an immediate start date. Candidates must be able to pass a background and drug test.
