Bookkeeper/Accountant

Ledgent Finance & Accounting's client is actively seeking a talented Bookkeeper/Accountant to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated professional to contribute to a thriving organization. This role is based onsite, with some opportunity for hybrid. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in bookkeeping and accounting, with a keen eye for detail and a proactive approach.

Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive bookkeeping and accounting duties, including Accounts Payable (A/P), Accounts Receivable (A/R), General Ledger (GL), Journal Entries (JE), and Payroll processing if applicable.
  • Utilize QuickBooks Online for accounting tasks and data management.
  • Shadow and collaborate with the current bookkeeper to ensure a smooth transition and understanding of the organization's financial processes.
  • Bring a strong personality and the ability to take initiative, working with minimal oversight.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations.
  • Assist in preparing financial reports and summaries as required by management.
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives within the accounting department.

Qualifications

  • 4-5 years of experience in accounting or bookkeeping roles, with a preference for non-profit experience.
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks Online is required.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of tasks.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Required Work Hours

The position is full-time, requiring work from Monday to Friday.

Benefits

Compensation for this role ranges from $36.00 to $45.00 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.

Additional Details

The successful candidate will start as soon as possible and will be expected to shadow the current bookkeeper to ensure a seamless transition. A strong personality and the ability to take initiative with minimal oversight are essential for this role.
