Position Overview

Ledgent Finance & Accounting's client is currently seeking a Controller to join their team in Northeast Houston. The position is critical in managing and directing all accounting, financial reporting along with collaborating with internal departments and external auditors.

Responsibilities

• Lead all daily accounting operations and month-end close activities
• Manage bank accounts, cash forecasting, and payment processing
• Prepare financial statements and reporting packages for executive leadership
• Oversee audits, compliance, and tax documentation
• Supervise and mentor accounting team
• Partner with internal departments, investors, and bankers
• Participate in special projects and support strategic initiatives

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification is preferred
• 3+ years of proven Controller experience in managing accounting functions and teams
• Sound technical accounting knowledge, intercompany, general ledger, consolidations, and inventory management
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities
