Position Overview:

Ledgent Finance & Accounting's client is currently seeking a dedicated Property Staff Accountant to join their team in Georgia. This 100% on-site position is ideal for individuals with experience in real estate, property management, or construction accounting. The role offers a dynamic opportunity to manage a variety of financial tasks while ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in financial operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accounts Payable Management: Oversee the accounts payable process, ensuring proper internal approval routing and timely payments to vendors.
  • Time Billing & Invoicing: Manage and process time billing invoices, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company guidelines.
  • Vendor Account Reconciliation: Regularly review and reconcile vendor accounts, ensuring accurate tracking of expenses and resolving discrepancies as needed.
  • Work-in-Progress (WIP) Accounting: Reconcile and review WIP accounts, including land, land improvements, and construction projects, to ensure proper financial reporting.
  • Audit Support: Assist with annual audits by providing necessary documentation and ensuring compliance with internal controls and regulatory standards.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting required.
  • Experience: 5+ years of relevant experience within real estate, construction, or property management accounting.
  • Software Knowledge: Intermediate Excel; experience with Yardi or Sage Timberline preferred but not required.
