Position Overview

Ledgent Finance & Accounting's client is currently seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Payroll Clerk Assistant to join their team in California. This position plays a critical role in supporting the payroll process for a large workforce and assisting with HR administrative tasks. True temp to hire role. ESOP - Employee Stock Option Program.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with processing payroll for over 800 employees across California and Arizona.
  • Support HR administration by utilizing the HRIS system effectively.
  • Ensure accuracy and compliance with payroll regulations and company policies.
  • Address payroll-related inquiries and issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Collaborate with HR and finance departments to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
  • Maintain employee records and update payroll information as needed.
  • Assist in the preparation of payroll reports and summaries for management review.
  • Provide support for any additional payroll or HR tasks as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in payroll processing or a similar administrative role is preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in using HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.

Pay Range: $24-27 p/h. Eligible for an increase upon conversion.

Required Work Hours

This position requires working during the first shift. Specific hours will be discussed during the interview process.
