Senior Accountant - Manufacturing

We are currently seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our team at a growing manufacturing company. This is a 100% onsite position, where you will play a key role in managing and overseeing the accounting functions related to inventory, cost tracking, and financial reporting. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in QuickBooks, inventory accounting, and a solid understanding of manufacturing processes, with the ability to interact closely with technicians, operations and cross-functional teams to ensure accurate and efficient financial operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inventory Accounting: Manage and oversee inventory transactions, including costing, valuations, and reconciliation.
  • Cost Accounting: Work closely with production teams to analyze and track costs related to manufacturing processes, ensuring accurate job costing and financial reporting.
  • Prepare financial statements and perform month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • QuickBooks Management: Oversee the use of QuickBooks for daily accounting tasks, including accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and general ledger entries.
  • Work with cross-functional teams, including technicians and production staff, to gather necessary data for accurate financial reporting.
  • Perform regular account reconciliations and maintain accurate financial records.
  • Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.
  • Ensure compliance with internal accounting policies, industry regulations, and accounting standards.
  • Support in audit preparation and provide necessary documentation.
  • Collaborate with senior management to analyze financial performance and identify opportunities for cost-saving and operational improvements.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, with a strong emphasis on manufacturing and inventory accounting.
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks and advanced knowledge of accounting software.
  • Experience in cost accounting within a manufacturing environment is preferred.
  • Solid understanding of inventory management principles, including tracking, costing, and reconciliation processes.
  • Strong ability to work with technicians and other staff to collect data and understand operational needs.
  • Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to provide detailed financial reports and insights.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Solid knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and other relevant financial regulations.
