Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Senior Payroll Analyst/Payroll Manager to temporarily join our team, starting soon and running through mid-April.

In this role, you will manage end-to-end payroll processing for employees across both the U.S. and Canada, utilizing ADP payroll software. The successful candidate will collaborate with our Payroll Administrator and will have opportunities to improve payroll processes while ensuring compliance with regulations in both countries.

  • Location: Bloomington (Hybrid). On-site required during training, with flexible hybrid scheduling thereafter.
  • Type: Temporary, from now through mid-April.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage payroll for over 1,000 employees across the U.S. (multi-state) and Canada.
  • Ensure accurate and timely payroll processing, including salaries, bonuses, deductions, and tax withholdings.
  • Resolve payroll discrepancies and perform audits for accuracy and compliance.
  • Collaborate with HR and Finance to ensure smooth integration of payroll data.
  • Assist with year-end payroll processing, including W-2s, T4s, and other required documentation.
  • Prepare and analyze payroll reports, providing insights and recommendations.
  • Maintain knowledge of federal, state, and provincial payroll regulations.
  • Provide training and support to HR and payroll staff.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of payroll experience, with expertise in multi-state U.S. and Canadian payroll practices.
  • Proficient in ADP payroll software (required); experience with HRIS systems is a plus.
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of payroll compliance regulations.
  • CPP (Certified Payroll Professional) designation is preferred but not required.

Top 3 Must-Have Traits:

  1. ADP experience - REQUIRED.
  2. Experience in a larger organization with multi-state and Canadian payroll responsibilities.
  3. CPP certification - nice to have.
