Job Description
This is a social and fast-paced investment accountant position within an established and experienced accounting team. We promote camaraderie, hands-on training, and individual mentoring. Responsibilities:

Record and reconcile monthly cash activity for funds, holding companies, and legacy investments.Process weekly accounts payable for funds, holding companies, and legacy investments (checks and electronic payments).Assist with treasury functions, such as monitoring bank activity, initiating wires, ACHs and fund transfers on the various banking platforms.Maintain tenant ledgers and prepare monthly financial statements package for legacy asset holdings (balance sheet, income statement, budget-to-actual, rent rolls, AR, AP, and partners equity accounts).Assist in uploading all funds’ third-party monthly property data, annual budgets, and business plans into Yardi and coordinate the collection of such data from property management companies.Track and process investor capital calls and distributions in both investor relations software and Yardi.Assist in preparing capital call requests, investor distribution analyses, and asset management fee calculations. Prepare and record journal entries to track investment activity, including investment acquisitions and dispositions.Assist in preparing monthly and quarterly consolidated fund, holding company, or standalone financials, including commentary on results and variances.Assist in responding to audit requests and prepare supporting schedules.Assist in providing internal tax team with year-end data requestsAssist in development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures.Respond to information requests from tax department and investor relations department.Obtain and maintain a thorough understanding of the general ledger structure and investment management module in ERP system.Research technical GAAP and operational questions and provide solutions.
Complete special projects, as required.
Qualifications:

REQUIRED: at least three 3 years of financial accounting experience in real estate investment, real estate development, private equity, public accounting, or investment advisory.REQUIRED: Bachelor's degree, preferably in accounting.Good knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, internal controls, etc.Great computer skills including Microsoft Office (Excel intermediate level) and accounting software (Yardi experience a plus).Excellent attention to detail and accuracy with great organizational skills and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.Able to communicate timely, professionally, and cross-functionally.
Compensation:
