Job Description
Prominent Seattle based construction company is seeking a temporary Bookkeeper to manage accounting functions, while training the Executive Assistant. The qualified Bookkeeper will have a strong knowledge of accounts receivable, accounts payable, month end closing, general ledger, preparation of bank reconciliations, and Quickbooks. Responsibilities include processing of accounting transactions, journal entries, payroll preparation, preparation of monthly and quarterly state tax filings, and mentoring the Executive Assistant.
Responsibilities:
- Organizing/formatting profit and loss categories appropriately
- Responsible for daily Cash Management functions, banking functions and bank account reconciliations.
- Make appropriate month-end journal entries for recording in the General Ledger by checking calculations, reviewing basis for figures, and balancing and reconciling figures.
- General cost coding and budgeting
- Expert knowledge in Quickbooks
- Proven track record in mentor or training

Hourly rate: $33.65-$37.50 DOE
