We have an exciting Client in Search of an Accounts Receivable Manager to join their growing team.  The ideal Candidate will have 2+ years of experience and does require a 4 year degree.
Role: Accounts Receivable Manager (Direct Placement)
Location: Norwood , MA
Pay Range $75,000-$85,000/ year

The Accounts Receivable Manager is responsible for the management, supervision and training of the Accounts Receivable (A/R) staff in the functional areas of invoicing, payment application, client collections and all accounting responsibilities related to the AR Function.

Functions of the Role:

  • Reviews daily workflow and assigns work to staff within the A/R group.
  • Reconciles subsidiary ledgers and produces analytical financial reports related to the AR function.
  • Creates and implements milestones that align with the company and department goals that will assure success within the A/R group.
  • Ensures timely collection of payments and initiates contact with clients as necessary regarding any outstanding business needs on their accounts.
  • Researches and negotiates with clients in non-payment cases.
  • Prepares individual client A/R reports as requested.
  • Oversees online billing per client requirements.
  • Implements financial controls with regard to the A/R function.
  • Manages and reviews A/R aging reports monthly and lead the collection activity and presents A/R aging and solutions to executives during meetings.
  • Reconciles the A/R subsidiary ledgers to the G/Ls of 4 Business Entities and ensures adequate reserves for the 4 Business Entities
  • Acts as a support person for incoming client invoice inquiries.
  • Assists in month-end closing routine by preparing journal entries.
  • Performs other financial duties as assigned by management.
  • Acts as backup for billing and payment posting as needed.

Qualifications Needed:
  • 3-5 years of A/R work experience, preferably in a high-volume transaction environment and/or a multiple entity environment.
  • 2 years subrogation collection experience
  • Previous supervisory or management experience.
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics/Great Plains or similar "e-Enterprise' financial software.
  • Intermediate knowledge of MS Excel and Word.
  • Possess excellent communication skills.
  • Committed to accuracy and hitting deadlines.
  • Ability to use sound judgement in regards to accounting and business practices.
  • Coachability: Being receptive to feedback, willing to learn, embracing continuous improvement and is receptive and responsive to change
  • Ability to maintain a predictable and consistent full-time work schedule.


EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance preferred, or commensurate work history.
  • High School Diploma or GED is required.
