Senior Accountant

Location: Scottsdale, AZ (Hybrid - 3 days in office/2 home)

Salary range: 60k - 89k + bonus


Overview: 
Senior accounting professional responsible for financial statement preparation, journal entries, financial reporting and consolidation. Interaction with internal and external auditors as well as corporate staff at all levels. Involved in completing monthly closing procedures, preparing account balance sheet reconciliations and analysis

Duties:

• Ensure that accounting records and financial statements are accurate and complete by analyzing transactions and the general ledger accounts
• Assist in monthly close process including journal entry preparation and complex reconciliations related to various insurance-based accounts.
• Prepares and reviews complex monthly financial statements and reports at both the local level and the corporate level.
• Provides support to financial staff with issues related to financial reporting.
• Participate in ad-hoc projects as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in accounting.
• 5+ years of experience with the duties stated above (public company preferred)
• CPA or currently pursing CPA certification preferred.
• Knowledge of GAAP 
• Oracle software experience preferred
• Strong Excel skills required
• Experience performing complex data driven analysis on complex data sets.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
