Job Description

We are seeking a highly qualified Controller with over 5 years of progressive experience in financial management and accounting. The ideal candidate holds a CPA designation and preferably a Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Experience with Microsoft Great Plains (GP) or similar ERP systems is required. The Controller will be responsible for overseeing all financial activities, ensuring compliance with accounting principles and regulatory requirements, and providing strategic financial guidance to senior management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Management: Direct and oversee all aspects of the Finance & Accounting functions of the organization.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare timely and accurate financial statements and reports for management, shareholders, and external stakeholders.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Develop annual budgets and financial forecasts; monitor performance against budget and provide variance analysis.
  • Cash Flow Management: Manage cash flow and forecasting; direct all financial, project-based, and departmental accounting.
  • Compliance and Audit: Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and coordinate the annual audit process.
  • Financial Analysis: Conduct thorough analysis of financial statements and provide strategic insights and recommendations to senior management.
  • ERP System Management: Utilize expertise in Microsoft GP or similar ERP systems to optimize financial processes and reporting capabilities.
  • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing finance and accounting team.
  • Internal Controls: Establish and maintain appropriate internal control safeguards.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation required.
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in accounting or finance roles, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial capacity.
  • Experience with Microsoft Great Plains (GP) or similar ERP systems.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with executives and external stakeholders.
  • Proven leadership and team management abilities.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
