Our client is a dedicated organization focused on improving children's mental health within the community. Our team is passionate about providing exceptional support and services to our clients and employees. We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented TEMP/Part-Time Payroll Assistant to join our Mission Viejo office.

Position Summary:
The Payroll Assistant will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing for our team of over 300 California-based employees. This position requires hands-on experience with Paylocity, strong data entry skills, and excellent communication abilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in processing payroll for 300+ California employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with state regulations.
  • Enter and update payroll data, including hours worked, deductions, and other relevant information into Paylocity.
  • Assist in the preparation and distribution of payroll reports.
  • Manage data entry for 401(k) contributions and other benefits.
  • Communicate effectively with employees regarding payroll inquiries and issues.
  • Ensure confidentiality and security of payroll information.
  • Collaborate with the HR and finance teams to resolve payroll discrepancies and improve processes.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience with Paylocity payroll software is required.
  • Strong data entry skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • Knowledge of California payroll regulations and compliance is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
