Job Description Summary:

  • Manages the day-to-day general accounting of a portfolio of properties.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the preparation of weekly cash requirement reports.
  • Conduct Monthly financial calls with the property managers.
  • Prepare Personal Property Tax Returns.
  • Responsible for the timely preparation of monthly financial statements and reports (9th business day) and monthly work papers.
  • Responsible for the reconciliation of bank statements, researching open items and communicating pertinent information to site staff through to resolution.
  • Responsible for the timely preparation of monthly and quarterly reports required by investors and state agencies.
  • Assist in the yearly budget preparation of monthly and review process with Regional Managers.
  • Assist Controller with year-end audits including audit package preparation.
  • Maintain positive communications and contact with Property and Regional Managers.
  • Additional duties as assigned by the Controller.
Essential skills, experience and talents:
  • Bachelor of Science in Accounting or related field and one to three years' Accounting experience, preferably in residential property management, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proficiency with advanced Microsoft Excel and general ledger applications; working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong analytical skills and exceptional detail orientation.
  • Ability to work with strict deadlines in a high-volume environment.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
