Primary Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

We are looking for a skilled Cost Accounting Manager that will be responsible for all aspects of cost accounting, analysis and reporting.  This position reports directly to the Assistant Controller and responsible for managing team of employees.  This position requires a high degree of accuracy, organization and the right candidate must be very detail oriented. The Accounting team is a friendly group, who love what they do, and we want you to feel the same.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Manage and develop a high-performance team of five responsible for all aspects of cost accounting, analysis, metric reporting, forecasting, budgeting, financial reporting and Compliance.   
  • Responsible for overseeing and performing the review and analysis for product cost and content accuracy, related cost summaries and customer invoices; maintaining the costing sub-ledgers and booking entries for segment Cost of Sales and associated variances, and other accounting including but not limited to deferred revenue, warranty accounting, inventory adjustments, direct labor associated variances, surplus and obsolescence, waste, cash application and treasury adjustments, etc.; various treasury control functions and related support.  
  • Support Sales, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Customer Care and Strategy business partners with quality data and analytics to influence effective decision making and achieving business strategic profit growth.  This includes, but is not limited to, providing Sales, Supply Chain and Strategy bid proposal and supplier costing negotiation support. 
  • Oversee the preparation of schedules for monthly financial reporting package, supporting analyses and metrics, Management Discussion & Analysis explanations 
  • Participate and co-lead in annual physical inventory count and reconciliation process, as well as lead testing of controlled warehouse inventory for accuracy throughout the year  
  • Support Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Assistant Controller with year-end Audit and Financial Reporting responsibilities with preparing Annual Financial Statements, Consolidated Notes, supporting work papers for auditors, as well as support the Finance Director with forecasting and planning  
  • Support CFO, Assistant Controller and Finance Director with achievement of Finance Department strategic goals, and leading and executing continuous improvement projects within and outside of Finance Department.  
  • BBA/BA Degree in Accounting or Finance required
  • Minimum of 5 years of accounting and/or finance experience
  • CPA, a plus
  • Minimum 1 year experience in managing others
