Ledgent is partnering with a client in the west metro adding a Cost Accountant to their team! Ideal profile would be 3-5+ years of cost accounting experience within a manufacturing environment.

Good opportunity for a Staff/Senior level candidate looking to grow. This position has advancement potential into managerial role.

Direct Hire. Flexible Schedule. ON SITE. Up to $100,000/annually.

Job Duties:

• Track costs back to underlying activity.
• Apply Cost-Volume-Profit analysis for fixed and variable costs to maximize profits and drive company growth.
• Develop, document, and apply a standard process to allocate overhead costs in accordance with GAAP.
• Calculate forecasted cost-related changes, assess risk, and offer cost-efficient solutions.
• Support the organization's profitable pricing initiatives by providing accurate, cost data analysis to key stakeholders/decision makers within the organization.
• Execute month-end system closing transactions and reconciliation of General Ledger accounts.
• Monitor capital expenditures and assist with monthly depreciation entries.
• Assist in overseeing inventory management, including monitoring levels, conducting standard cost changes, reconciling discrepancies, reviewing weekly cycle counts, and assisting in leading the annual physical inventory process.
• Investigating, solving for, and correcting average cost and inventory capitalization costs.
• Prepare and present financial reports, cost analysis reports, and other management reports to support decision-making.
• Help maintain data integrity within the ERP system ensuring consistency and providing support to all departments when changes are requested for new or updated information.
• Collaborate with departments such as Operations, Sales, and Supply Chain to gather relevant data, analyze cost drivers, and implement cost-saving initiatives.
• Provide support and guidance to the finance team as an indirect leader by offering assistance and addressing their inquiries.

Requirements:

• Associates Degree (required)
• 3-5 years of Cost Accounting experience in a manufacturing environment with a progressive increase in responsibility.
• Proficiency with computer software and ERPs
• In-depth knowledge of accounting principles methods, and GAAP
• Capable of speaking, presenting, and interacting with all levels in the organization.
• Strong time management, organization, and prioritizing skills.
• Adept at managing multiple tasks under pressure with tight deadlines.
• Availability for overtime work to meet month-end demands.
