Located in Elkridge, MD and onsite 100%

SUMMARY:
  Performs accounts payable functions and provides support to the accounting department.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Processes invoices for payment; prints and mails accounts payable checks.
  • Tracks purchase orders for all branches.
  • Performs data entry and spreadsheet management.
  • Maintains accounts payable files and records.
  • Responds to vendor and employee inquiries regarding invoices, expenses, and check requests; assists with discrepancy reconciliation.
  • Prints and routes accounts payable reports.
  • Maintains vendor files, including but not limited to, filing, creating new vendor files, cleaning out old files & assisting with the yearly purge.
  • Assists in maintaining the accounts payable email account.
  • Reviews vendor statements to ensure invoices have been received and paid.
  • Assists in maintaining the petty cash box and reconciles cash box for reimbursement when necessary.
  • Assists with related special projects as needed.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
QUALIFICATIONS:
*   10-key by touch.
*   Demonstrated ability to calculate figures and amounts.
  • Experience with Excel and Microsoft Outlook
*   Acute attention to detail.
*   Strong organizational skills.

*   Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
*   Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.
