Are you an experienced in payroll and are looking for an opportunity to catapult you to the next level of your career? One of our established clients in the Vancouver area is on the search for a new Payroll Manager- Operations. This position will have the primary oversight for the payroll department and will have the opportunity to created new processes and implement new policies and strategies for the department. This position will be a multi-functional role, and will have the support of a payroll specialist to ensure all aspects of payroll are completed correctly and efficiently. Key responsibilities for this role include the following:

-Complete multi-state payroll processing for three states and up to 2,000+ employees
-Ensure all union payroll is completed in compliance with each union contract
-Completed tax payments, filings and returns in accordance with each appropriate deadline
-Manage all report preparation and generation related to payroll
-Maintain all confidential documentation
-Streamline department processes and develop SOP for department while continuing to meet corporate standards
-Ensure all document processing related to payroll is completed in a timely manner- new hire documents, terminations, off-cycle checks, etc.
-Provide leadership to the department and office, representing the company in a positive manner
-Partner with Human Resources to ensure open enrollment and benefits are processed correctly
-Additional duties as needed to ensure to payroll department is meeting company standards

-Bachelor's degree required in fields relating to accounting, human resources, or business
-At least 7 years of experience in payroll management
-Experienced in managing payroll processes for up to 1,000+ employees
-Previous experience in multi-state payroll with union payroll experience highly preferred
-Experience in HRIS integrated payroll systems highly preferred
-Knowledge of labor and wage regulations by state
