Prepare and post rental property journal entries and other activity into the general ledger in a timely manner
Ensure General Ledger is in balance with Yardi Voyager (or other applicable database) subsidiary records
Perform monthly and year-end closings in a timely manner
Act as primary back up for Way Finders check requests
Crosstrain with and provide accounting efforts as needed to supplement and support the efforts of others
Collaborate with rental property invoice input procedures & prepare and issue payments for invoices input into the general ledger
Assist other departmental staff in accomplishing departmental goals
Establish and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with internal staff and other departments to achieve goals
Proactively inform Controller of any issues which may adversely affect the department and agency
Performs other tasks as needed
3+ years of experience in related position, preferably in a non-profit setting
Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and others as required
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Excellent communications skills and transactional-level detail
Ability to prioritize and meet tight timelines & flourish in a team-focused environment
Working knowledge of automated accounting systems, database management, & administration and the ability to generate general reports
