Develop, prepare and regularly reconcile and maintain accounting schedules/spreadsheets in support of general ledger
Prepare and post journal entries
Analyze General Ledger activity and make adjustments as needed
Reconcile bank accounts
Review bank account activity and identify cash activity
Prepare and input cash activity into the general ledger and forward any needed on-line transfers or payments to the Accounting Manager
Act as back up for all on-line banking transfers and payments
Prepare and input fixed asset items into fixed asset module
Code and Input check requests, prepare and issue payments
Oversee invoice input procedures, prepare and issue payments for invoices, oversee 1099 processing and distribution
Perform various payroll procedures and related activities and services including quarterly and annual reporting
Oversee credit card procedures
Manage petty cash, replenish and account funds used
Cross train with and provide accounting efforts as needed to supplement and support the accounting department
Assist the Manager in accomplishing departmental goals
Ensure documents reflect data
Establish and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with internal staff
Proactively inform the CFO of any issues which may adversely affect the department or organization
Bachelor's degree in accounting
Minimum 3 years of hands on experience
Working knowledge of accounting systems, database management and administration and the ability to generate reports. Experience with Blackbaud helpful, but not required.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software and their application and use, including Word, Excel and Outlook.
