Position Overview: They are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our team as an Entry-Level Staff Accountant. This role offers an excellent opportunity for recent graduates or individuals with limited accounting experience to gain valuable hands-on experience in a dynamic and collaborative environment.

Responsibilities:

  1. Assist with Financial Reporting: Support the preparation of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).

  2. General Ledger Maintenance: Assist in maintaining accurate and up-to-date general ledger accounts by recording journal entries, reconciling accounts, and investigating discrepancies.

  3. Accounts Payable and Receivable: Process accounts payable invoices, prepare vendor payments, and assist with accounts receivable collections as needed.

  4. Bank Reconciliations: Perform monthly bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records.

  5. Assist with Audits: Participate in audit engagements by preparing supporting documentation, conducting testing procedures, and responding to auditor inquiries.

  6. Tax Compliance Support: Assist with the preparation of corporate and individual tax returns, including gathering financial data and performing tax research.

  7. Ad Hoc Analysis: Conduct financial analysis and research as needed to support decision-making and provide insights to management.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • Strong understanding of basic accounting principles.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP).
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • CPA eligibility or intention to pursue CPA certification is a plus.
