We are in need of a Assistant Controller / Senior Accountant to Join our Team!

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee accounts payable and receivable
  • Prepare financial statements and regulatory reporting documents
  • Analyze financial reports
  • Job Costing, Change orders, AIA Documents, project accounting
  • Intercompany Accounting - multiple account balances and bank statements
  • Assist with audits and taxes
  • Prepare financial reports for taxes, regulatory agencies, and stockholders
  • Working with the Project Managers
  • Manage general ledger and assist month-end and year-end close processes
  • Cash based to Accrual based accounting
  • Supervise accounting department, junior employees, and accounting assistants
  • Assist in preparing documents and interpreting complicated financial information for managers, executives, and C-Suite executives

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience as an accountant - Construction Industry preferable
  • Looking for next step in their career path.
  • Proficient with Mircosoft Office Suite and accounting software
  • Exceptional knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, cost accounting and cost control principles and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
  • Advanced knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting best practices, laws, standards, and state/national regulations
  • Able to multi-task, think on their feet, self-starter
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Quickly promoted in company
