Company located in Vinings is seeking a Staff Accountant for a Direct Hire Opportunity!

Location: Vinings
Pay: $60k - $70k
Position: Staff Accountant
Duration: Direct-Hire

The Staff Accountant is expected to take an active role in collecting and consolidating data out of the accounting system. P&L review, month end processes and must possess highly advanced financial and data analysis skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare General ledger entries.
• Prepares analysis weekly to ensure assigned accounts are booked correctly into the GL system.
• Provide accounts payable support by managing accounting inbox and resolving vendor related and operation questions.
• Provides accounting support by converting data to the General ledger system and reviewing financial information.
• Ability to improve processes where there is lack of efficiency and know how to solve.
• The ability to create spreadsheets for financial analysis reporting.
• Knowledge and ability to assist accounting team with month-end close process.
• Perform reviews and analytics on balance sheet and P&L accounts at month-end.
• Research, analyze and resolve P&L issues and questions from Manager and brand teams
• Assist the preparation of internal financial statements from the GL system

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance/Business.
• 2-3 years of corporate accounting experience
• Strong analytical ability; presents meaningful analysis.
• Able to assist/collaborate with team members while providing accurate deliverables on a timely basis.
• Strong proficiency in Excel (including the use of "vlookup")
