Senior Accountant - Inventory

We're seeking an individual with extensive experience in monthly closing processes, forecasting, budgeting, and inventory management. Your keen organizational skills and analytical mindset will be instrumental in driving our success. Responsibilities:

  • Ensure accurate reporting of business transactions in compliance with generally accepted accounting principles.
  • Execute monthly depreciation of fixed assets.
  • Prepare various account reconciliations, focusing on monthly balance sheet accounts.
  • Conduct ongoing comparisons between budgeted and actual performance.
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly financial packages.
  • Support the annual audit process, including drafting financial statements and related notes.
  • Coordinate financial closings to maintain consistency in accounting/statutory reporting and product line reporting.
  • Provide assistance and guidance during budgeting and forecasting processes.
  • Conduct research and analysis on expense variances for management review.
  • Manage revenue and related inventory transactions, including inventory/cost of goods sold accruals and analysis, depletion allowances, broker commissions, landed cost, purchase price variances (PPV), freight, and excise taxes.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of progressive experience in finance or accounting roles.
  • Proficiency in inventory management.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or equivalent field.
  • Thorough understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel.
  • Experience in manufacturing or related industries preferred.
  • Previous experience in public accounting is advantageous.
  • CPA certification preferred.
