Job Description

Seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Staff Accountant to join a dynamic team. The Staff Accountant will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy of financial records, analyzing financial data, and providing valuable insights to support strategic decision-making processes.

Responsibilities:

  1. Prepare and examine financial statements, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  2. Perform month-end and year-end close procedures, including reconciliations, accruals, and adjustments.
  3. Analyze financial data and trends to identify variances, anomalies, and areas for improvement.
  4. Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
  5. Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions in a timely manner.
  6. Collaborate with internal teams to resolve accounting discrepancies and issues.
  7. Assist with the implementation and maintenance of accounting policies and procedures.
  8. Support external audits and regulatory examinations by providing documentation and explanations as needed.
  9. Stay updated on relevant accounting standards, regulations, and industry best practices.
  10. Participate in special projects and initiatives as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  2. Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting or financial services.
  3. Strong knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and financial reporting standards.
  4. Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  5. Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
  6. Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple deadlines, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  7. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  8. CPA certification or progress towards CPA preferred, but not required.
  9. Experience in the financial services industry is a plus.
  10. Must be willing to work onsite in Los Angeles, CA on a hybrid basis.
