Job Description

Our client in the Atlanta area is seeking a Tax Accountant. This is a Full On-Site Contract-to-hire role.

Seeking a dedicated professional to manage accounting and tax affairs for a diverse clientele. Our focus lies in providing comprehensive financial services to businesses, encompassing monthly financial reporting, consulting, and tax planning for both businesses and their proprietors.

Responsibilities:

• Preparation of various income tax returns including 1040, 1120, 1120-S, 1065, and others.
• Review financial documents provided by bookkeeping personnel for accuracy and tax planning purposes.
• Preparation of monthly financial statements and historical data for new clients.
• Consultation with small business clients to devise effective tax strategies and plans.
• Willingness to accommodate additional hours during peak periods to meet deadlines.
• Generation of client invoices and ongoing monitoring of service fees in accordance with client agreements.

Qualifications:

• Enrolled Agent (EA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) credentials are mandatory.
• Demonstrated minimum of three years' experience in both corporate and individual tax preparation.
• Strong in general ledger management and financial statement analysis.
• Ability to engage with clients effectively, fostering strong relationships.
• Uphold high ethical standards in all professional endeavors.
• Familiarity with software platforms such as QuickBooks (desktop and online), Thomson Reuters products, and Microsoft Office suite is preferred.
