Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Accounting Clerk to join our team. As an Accounting Clerk, you will be responsible for assisting with various financial tasks and ensuring accurate and timely processing of financial transactions. This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and a solid understanding of accounting principles.

Responsibilities:

- Perform account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data

- Assist with technical accounting tasks, including journal entries and general ledger maintenance

- Process financial transactions such as accounts payable and accounts receivable.

- Conduct credit analysis and assist with collections efforts.

- Assist in the preparation of financial reports and statements.

- Provide support during audits by gathering necessary documentation and information.

- Collaborate with other departments to resolve any accounting discrepancies or issues.

- Utilize accounting software systems such as QuickBooks and Kronos to perform daily tasks.

- Maintain confidentiality of financial information and adhere to company policies and procedures.

Requirements:

- Proven experience as an Accounting Clerk or similar role

- Strong knowledge of financial services and accounting principles

- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping.

- Solid understanding of governmental accounting practices is a plus.

- Proficiency in using accounting software systems, such as QuickBooks and Kronos

- Strong analytical skills with the ability to conduct credit analysis and identify discrepancies

- Familiarity with general ledger accounting processes

- Strong written and verbal communication skills

- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines

- Other duties as assigned
