Job Description

Position: AP Clerk/ Accounts Payable Accountant
Pay: $27-$32/hr

Qualifications:

• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
• Minimum of 3 years' experience in full cycle Accounts Payable (AP)
• Experience handling high volume transactions
• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Quick learner with the ability to adapt to new tasks rapidly
• Strong team player with the ability to remain focused and accomplish tasks
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting
• Banking experience is advantageous
• Familiarity with General Ledger (GL) processes

Responsibilities:

• Match purchase orders with invoices and input invoices into the computer system
• Reconcile processed work by validating entries and comparing system reports to balances
• Assign expenses to appropriate accounts and cost centers by examining invoice/expense reports and recording entries
• Manage vendor payments by overseeing, scheduling, and preparing checks
• Resolve discrepancies in purchase orders, contracts, invoices, or payments
• Ensure credit is received for outstanding memos and handle stop-payments or purchase order amendments
