Ledgent Accounting and Finance has partnered with a growing manufacturer and media company based near Torrance and is actively seeking an Accounting Director to join their team!

We're seeking a hands-on Accounting Director to lead and oversee the daily accounting functions for two closely held organizations. The Accounting Director will supervise a team of 3-4 employees. Some of the main responsibilities include G/L management, processing bi-weekly payroll, cost accounting, and preparing financial reports.

Qualifications:

• AA degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Strong G/L, month-end close, cash flow, and AR/AP experience
• Must have Sage 100.
• Bi-weekly payroll processing required. Paylocity+
• Manufacturing, shipping, inventory background
• Cost accounting (calculating gross margin, etc.)
• Must be driven and an excellent communicator!
• Comfortable being client facing
• Experience managing 3+ employees

Day to day:

• Managing cash flow including day to day banking and treasury cash management
• A/R including billing, A/P, I/M, Bill of material / work orders closing (cost accounting)
• Month-end general ledger (G/L) closing and reconciling G/L including accruing expenses
• Preparing biweekly Payroll
• Preparing of multiple Sales Tax Returns
• Preparation and analysis of monthly, quarterly, and yearly Sales Reports
• Preparation of monthly commission reports
• Preparation and analysis of monthly, quarterly, and yearly Inventory Reports
• Preparation of Monthly, Quarterly and Yearly Financial Statements for each company
