We are looking for a competent Collection Specialist to contact clients and collect outstanding payments. You will have a balance between maintaining trustful relationships, and ensuring timely payments.
The candidate should exhibit professionalism and trustworthiness. You should have excellent communication and negotiation skills, as well as an ability to work independently.
Collect balances on past due accounts
Process customer payments and post accordingly
Reconcile customer accounts and resolve any discrepancies
Reconcile cash receipts against bank records
Run reports and distribute accordingly
Set up new customer accounts (obtain appropriate credit applications, sales tax certificates and other necessary information to approve new accounts)
College degree is a plus
Excellent listening, verbal, and written communication skills
Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
Ability to manage time effectively and adapt to changing priorities
Previous collections experience
